The Teplice nad Bečvou Spa owes its origin to the rich springs
of thermal alkaline mineral water with a high content of natural
carbon dioxide. The peaceful spa resort is situated in a romantic
woody country along the River Bečva near the town of Hranice.
Jan Kropáč zNevědomí, the owner of the Hranice domain, laid
the spa foundations in 1553. The spa location of Teplice nad
Bečvou acquired the spa status in 1957.

The basic means of the treatments is a carbonic alkaline acidulous
mineral water bath with a high level of carbon dioxide, which
considerably extends veins and improves the blood circulation
to the heart and other organs. Other therapeutic procedures
provided are dry gas baths, classical reflex and underwater
massages, Scotch jets, Hauffe s limb baths, alternating feet
and whirl feet baths, parafango, paraffin and mud packs, cryotherapy,
oxygen therapy, electrotherapy, therapeutic physical training,
individual training on stationary bicycles, lymph drainage,
inhalations, etc. All the water and electrotherapeutic procedures
have a favourable influence not only on the heart and vein
diseases, but also on diseases of the kinetic apparatus that
often precede the vein and heart disorders. We pay special
attention to diet nutrition.
There
are 735 beds in nine spa buildings at the disposal of the
guests. The spa sanatoriums offer their visitors the comfort
of cosy rooms and a wide range of opportunities for sport
activities, such as the rehabilitation swimming pool with
massage nozzles and contra flow swimming, a sauna, a fitness
centre, minigolf, table tennis, billiards, and marked cycle
tracks. If you do not belong among sporty guests, perhaps

to hiking, libraries, cafes, concert and dance parties organised
on the spot.
The accommodation is also available in the Moravan spa sanatorium,
which was reconstructed in 1996 and is located in the spa
park. There are 1-bed and 2-bed rooms equipped with a shower
or a bathroom, a toilet, satellite TV, a telephone and a fridge
with a minibar. There is a non-stop service of our physicians
and nurses for the guests, a reception, an indoor garden,
a café, a beauty parlour, a pedicure parlour, a relaxation
swimming pool with counterflow and massage jets, a sauna,
table tennis, billiards, and mountain-bike hire facility.
